CEO’s Year-End Message 2025

Dear colleagues and partners of Rosebel,

As we bid farewell to the old year and embrace the new, I wish to extend my sincere gratitude and best wishes to you all who have dedicated your hearts and efforts to this journey.

In 2025, despite many challenges and ongoing pressures, our company met the yearly production goals. This success was not easy; it is a collective achievement by the entire Rosebel team—united, professional, and resilient—and it belongs to each one of you who stayed committed and contributed diligently behind the scenes.

Over the past year, the production front line has risen to meet challenges and advanced steadily.

The MTS team effectively mitigated the impact of severe negative model variance, promptly adjusted production plans, and reversed unfavorable production conditions. The Geology and Exploration team persisted in efforts, attaining remarkable results in exploration and resource expansion, thereby establishing a solid foundation for resource continuity and long-term mine development. The Mining Operations team confronted issues such as aging equipment and frequent rainfall; through refined scheduling, equipment renewal, and enhanced management, you maintained a consistent ore production rhythm during critical operational windows, ensuring a stable and orderly ore supply. The Mill Operations team continuously optimized processes and implemented technological upgrades; under high-load conditions, you not only met annual processing targets but also improved recovery rates and overall efficiency.

Throughout the same year, Support systems operated in close coordination, progressing steadily and with foresight.

The Supply Chain team overcame numerous difficulties to ensure procurement stability. The Infrastructure team made steady progress on key projects, laying a robust foundation for the mine’s upgrade and transformation. The Mine Maintenance team and the ICT team provided full support in maintaining the equipment, hardware, and digital systems, keeping our mine operating as planned. The HSE team sustained stable safety conditions throughout the year, with all health and environmental indicators reaching high standards. The CRD team remained deeply engaged in community connections, consistently investing to ensure development is seamlessly integrated into local society. The Security team enhanced its capabilities, providing strong protection for personnel and assets. The Finance team exercised prudent control over profitability, cash flow, and fund security. The HR team concentrated on local recruitment and talent development, strengthening the organizational foundation. The Legal team worked efficiently with government authorities and closely coordinated with the Supervision team to uphold compliance and good governance. Meanwhile, the Camp Service team supported the daily lives of over 2,000 colleagues away from family, fostering an environment of order, respect, and warmth.

As 2025 draws to a close, so does my tenure at Rosebel. Reflecting on the brief year and a half since I assumed this role in 2024, I have repeatedly witnessed your perseverance and dedication—under the scorching sun, in torrential rain, and through the starry night. From the pit to the plant, from the crushing station to the refinery, from the cafeteria to the gym, every brick and blade of grass here exemplifies your diligent efforts and has left an indelible memory in my heart. At this moment, I gratefully thank you for your understanding, tolerance, and support towards my work.

The year 2026 marks a new start for Rosebel. I firmly believe that under the leadership of the new CEO and with you, a mature, professional, and trustworthy team, the company will continue to advance on its existing foundation and attain new success.

More than two thousand years ago, the Chinese philosopher Xunzi offered a timeless insight: “Where aspiration shows the way, no mountain high nor sea far away. (志之所趋,无远弗届;穷山距海,不能限也)” As long as our direction is clear and our faith remains firm, challenge is never a barrier, and difficulty is never a boundary. With shared purpose and steady resolve, let us set forth once again.
