On November 22, 2025, the “Experience China” event, hosted by the Embassy of China in Suriname, was held in grand fashion in Paramaribo, the capital of Suriname. President Simons of Suriname and Chinese Ambassador Lin Ji attended and delivered remarks, joined by several government ministers. The Rosebel Gold Mines exhibition attracted great attention with more than two thousand visitors from government, business, academia, and local communities.
As a leading Chinese enterprise in Suriname, Rosebel was invited to participate with the core theme of showcasing Zijin’s strength and sharing mining knowledge. The booth was carefully designed with an innovative approach and received significant interest. Inspired by the concept of a small geological museum, the display highlighted Zijin Mining’s global influence as a Fortune Global 500 company and explained the unique operational philosophy of “ore flow five rings one complete cycle”. It also featured the many community support programs backed by Rosebel. At the center of the booth an ore display platform showcased dozens of ore samples, which drew strong curiosity and became one of the busiest areas of the event.
During the event, President Simmons visited the Rosebel exhibition area and showed great interest in the ore samples. He praised Rosebel for helping the public understand the mining industry and for contributing to the development of Suriname’s mining sector. Ambassador Lin Ji thanked Rosebel for representing Chinese enterprises with excellence and encouraged further efforts to share Chinese culture and present China’s development achievements.
Many local visitors stopped to engage with the team and asked questions about green mining, ecological protection, employment opportunities, and community development. After viewing the exhibit, many attendees said they gained a clearer and more complete understanding of Rosebel and the contributions of Chinese enterprises in Suriname.
Rosebel has been deeply rooted in the local community for many years, promoting advanced technologies and management practices and making significant contributions to local progress. Participation in the “Experience China” event strengthened awareness among government, universities, and communities, and further enhanced the company’s social influence.
Going forward, Rosebel will continue to uphold the principle of value creation and shared development, fulfill its corporate social responsibility, promote sustainable development, and contribute to Suriname’s economic growth and the continued friendship between China and Suriname.
“Value Creation and Development for All.”
