RGM is proud to announce the launch of the Mine Operator Skills Competition 2026, an initiative designed to recognize, challenge, and celebrate the exceptional skills and professionalism of our operators.
The RGM Skills Competition provides a platform for highly skilled employees from different departments to showcase their expertise, teamwork, and commitment to safe and efficient operations. Through a series of practical and theoretical challenges, participants will compete for top honors, prize money, and the prestigious title of RGM’s Best Mine Operator 2026.
Mine Operations Leads the Way
Mine Operations is the first department to take part in the Skills Competition. On January 31, 2026, eleven selected operators will go head to head in the Mine Operator Skills Competition, proudly representing their respective crews.
The competition consists of both theoretical and practical components. The theory test, completed on January 14 and 15, assessed participants’ technical knowledge, safety awareness, and operational understanding.
During the practical phase, participants will compete in crews of three. Each crew will complete three different tasks, requiring close teamwork and the safe, precise operation of a loader, truck, and excavator. Performance will be judged on skill, accuracy, safety compliance, and teamwork.
Crews Competing for the Title
The competing crews include Crew A, Crew B, Crew C, and ZMT. Each team brings experience, determination, and pride to the competition, all aiming to outperform the rest and claim the top position.
