10 new scholars added to Rosebel Scholarship Program

One of these projects is our Rosebel Brokopondo Scholarship Program, which aims to provide scholarships to the most successful students of the MULO and LBO schools in the district of Brokopondo, in order to continue and successfully complete secondary school or higher education in Paramaribo.

Brokopondo champions Acconut thank Rosebel for support

Around the mine site in Brokopondo District, Rosebel Gold Mines has built strong relationships over many years with local communities, including New Lombe. With Rosebel’s support, Acocunut, the New Lombe boys’ soccer team, developed into a strong side and competed in the Surinamese soccer league. Thanks to their hard work and determination, Acoconut were champions of the second division this year, winning promotion to the first division.

Rosebel Gold Mines invests 1.9 million SRD in top clinical care for Suriname

On 27 April 2018, the 3D mammograph came into use by the donor Rosebel Gold Mines N.V. (Rosebel) and the Academic Hospital Paramaribo (AZP). This for the benefit of the MAMMA center at the Radiology department, which is headed by Drs. I. Thakoer. The donation is a modern 3D mammograph with tomosynthesis worth 1.9 million Surinamese Dollars and in support of top clinical care in Suriname.
